3 runners at Addington and the best to show for it was a 6th place. This was achieved by Mo ( Feral Helen) she actually ran well but again the lack of experience around the bend cost her a few lengths. Major disappointment was Sam ( Feral Coaster) again a tardy start and a bump at the 1st bend put paid to his chances and he finished 8th. Minnie (Feral Hoki) had her first race and she certainly lacked experience and was slightly hampered at the 1st bend. No excuses though for any of them but they desperately need galloping and during this hot summer weather the grass gallop is as useful as a chocolate fire guard.
Im smiling just.........next time eh!)-
Greyhound kennels established on the West Coast of NZ. The kennel name comes from the delightful description Helen Clark used when talking about West Coasters in 2000. The open spaces and the beaches were a top place to rear pups up until racing age. Now Based close to Oxford Canterbury on 4 hectares. We now breed and train as well as rear pups. Recent News
The move to a new place in Oxford went well but poor old Ridgy had to have a temporary kennel made from 4 Hay Bales and corrugated iron roofing!! Luckily a new Kennel has now been made so she is happy and enjoying the 2 acre field she gallops in daily with the other retirees!
Still need to do the new runs but eh Rome wasnt built in a day!
On the track George (Feral Fox)has come back from a rest/spell and is now showing some real pace and his last two efforts have resulted in a 3rd at Otago and a 2nd at Southland. Lets hope his next is a win!
The big Fellow Amigo has pleased Malcolm and showed him a bit of ability so he is now in cotton wool until further notice!
New Kennel number is 03 3106912

Kennel news
George ( Feral Fox ) is proving to be frustrating to say the least. Look here to see his form lines, hoping to see the penny drop soon. Skippy has come out of her season well and enjoying retirement with her sister Maggie.
