Took the three dogs that ran on Friday to Addington today for a trial. This was to get them back onto chasing the lure. Also the idea behind running them is to get them a lot fitter because of the hard ground and not being able to gallop. Minnie was a little disappointing but she looks like she needs further than the sprint distant because her run home was OK.
Two of the litter Zac and Pat run down at Ascot park tomorrow so looking forward to seeing them produce the goods.
Up on the North Island Tom went for his Qualifying trial today and beat his brother Ted by 5L in a flying 18.32 at Manakau. Some run and a great run from his brother as well. Exciting times I hope for these pair.
Ben is still on the easy list but is walking about 7Ks a day and hopefully at the weekend I will give him a small gallop on a sawdust surface.
Noticed that Charlie (Smash Rumour) has taken his earnings to over $29,000 and if he wins tomorrow he will crack the $30,000 barrier. Sadly Eva his sister has not made it back from injury and has been retired as a brood bitch.
