Poor old Ben (Feral Poutini) actually broke well from trap 8 and ran well (3rd) in to the bend then was dragged down by the 1 dog. From there on he was back tracking and was vetted. An old toe injury has flared up a little so he will be on the easy list for a few days.
Racing into the bend FERAL POUTINI (8) came down hampering the racing room of CULVIE GODFATHER (5) which lost ground and also LUCAS SCOTT (4) which was slightly inconvenienced FERAL POUTINI lost momentum and its chance when dragged down by WHAT A PARTY (1) rounding the bend this in turn caused ANOTHER KEY to check of the heels of FERAL POUTINI. CULVIE GODFATHER and SACAJAWEA (6) came together rounding the bend and both dogs ran wide. SACAJAWEA and FERAL POUTINI were both referred to the vet for assessment.

Good day for the Kennel.
Great to see Yeboah (Tom) win his 9th race out of his 10 starts. Now in C3 grade he is going through the grades nicely! Melman (Ted) came 3rd and earned another cheque.
Great to see Smash Rumour (Charlie) win again after a quiet spell and now he has taken over $30,000 in prize money helping Malcolms retirement fund!!
Friday sees Feral Poutini (Ben) have his 2nd start but just hoping for a safe run because he is very much a novice at the racing game!

Pretty stoked!
Yeboah (Tom) has equalled the Class 2 at Manakau tonight. He even missed the kick a bit but charged through them to lead at the first bend and win going away. Well done to Steve Clark and of course the lucky owner Tony!!
Lizzie has produced a quick one there!

Minnie (Feral Hoki) Finishes last!
Gutted with the run of Minnie. Hard to see from the track but I noticed she made a fair break and was going into the 1st bend in 3rd position. By the time they had reached the 295 traps she was a good 10 lengths last! From then on she was chasing fresh air. First thoughts were to retire her after the poor showing but now she might just have a legitimate excuse for her poor showing!
Just read the stipes report.
Rounding the first bend FERAL HOKI (1) and COLDRUM (4) collided with MALCY and JINJA BILLY also being hampered. Shortly after FERAL HOKI was dragged down by GENERAL ACTION (2) and dropped to the rear. MALCY checked off the heels of COLDRUM rounding the final bend. FERAL HOKI was examined by the vet following the
race and cleared of injury.

News
Both Feral Hoki (Minnie) and Feral Poutini (Ben) finished 7th on Friday at Addington. Both dogs missed the break and then ran very green. Obviously disappointing but to be fair these two dogs have very little race experience so hopefully will come on for the run. Both have been galloped this morning (Sunday) and were coming back down the gallop when a Hare decided to run in the field. Not only run it decided to go up and down the gallop fence line with both dogs in keen pursuit. It cut through the gallop fence just in front of Minnie who gave it a nudge.
Mo went up the gallop yesterday and is showing some nice pace so looking forward to getting a nomination soon. Sam is sulking because he is on the lead only and is raring to run. In his frustration he wrecked his kennel water bowl.
Will try to get runs for them later this week!

Feral Helen ( Mo) Finishes 2nd.
Mo ( Feral Helen ) ran on Tuesday in a C1 out of trap 2 and finished a 2 1/2 L second to a 17.36 winner. Pleased with her progress and she is certainly enjoying her racing. Hopefully get her nominated for a race next week if any appear on the calendar.
On Friday Minnie ( Feral Hoki ) has her 2nd start in a 295 out of trap 5. Ben ( Feral Poutini ) has his first start and comes out of trap 3.
Today Thursday Ted ( Melman) ran 3rd at a sprint race at the Waikato meeting.

Kennel News (Budget Cola week)!
So Mo ( Feral Helen) finished last yesterday in the Amber Cleaning Services Maiden Sprint Final. Ran well going into the bend but got baulked a little on 3 occasions and that was the end of that. Drawn Trap 2 on Tuesday so we will see if the rails will help her!
Both Minnie and Ben have been galloping well and will be nominated for a start in the next week. Sam is being treating for his injury and seems to be going the right way but early days yet.
Not a lot else to report. Ted (Melman) ran third at the Waikato meeting but again found a very good dog in race posting a smart time!
