Greyhound kennels established on the West Coast of NZ. The kennel name comes from the delightful description Helen Clark used when talking about West Coasters in 2000. The open spaces and the beaches were a top place to rear pups up until racing age. Now Based close to Oxford Canterbury on 4 hectares. We now breed and train as well as rear pups. First Beach Gallop with Lure
Ridgy running her first beach gallop. Pity the photographer isn't as fast!
George, the fatty, having his first 50 metre beach gallop to the dummy lure.
The pups are given the chance to see if they would chase the hand held lure just to see their interest. Having had a play with it and a bit of fun the lure will not be seen again for at least 2 to 3 months. Both pups seemed to chase and latch on to the dummy which is encouraging.

Kennels update
Skippy (Feral Duchess) is back in training and will be hopefully soon seen on the track again hoping to lose her maiden tag. The pups are thriving and looking good and Maggie who didnt make it is enjoying the house when we are at home and has now accepted the cat as part of the furniture!

Pups morning run
The pups have their run here every morning. They have discovered ice. George has some in his mouth and is teasing Ridgy with it.

Mid July Dogs
The pups had a great time off the lead in the forest. They didn't try and run off but stayed close. We called in to see Skippy at Lowcliffe. She was very happy to see us.

The pups on a sight seeing hunting mission through the forest. Maggie wasn't happy being kept on the lead with the pups. She wanted off with the Labradors to chase the rabbits sniff out the wild pigs.
