Greyhound kennels established on the West Coast of NZ. The kennel name comes from the delightful description Helen Clark used when talking about West Coasters in 2000. The open spaces and the beaches were a top place to rear pups up until racing age. Now Based close to Oxford Canterbury on 4 hectares. We now breed and train as well as rear pups. The next day
The day after they chased the hare across the paddock the dogs nearly ripped my arms off when we stepped through the gate into the field. George in particular thrashed around like a mad dog. Once they were let off their leads they sprinted across the paddock to the part of the field they last saw/smelled the hare then ran up and down the fence line. Once bored with that they retraced the path they had followed the hare. George spotted Tessa, the old Labrador, across the other side and took off once again like a dog on a mission followed by the others. They are on high alert. Not a good paddock to graze in if you are hare.
