Results from Southland

Zac racing name One more Beersies ran a creditable 3rd in his debut race over 457m at Southland today. Took a bit of a bump at the 1st bend to knock him off balance but ran on well.
Charlie ( Smash Rumour) is running at the top of his game and produced another win in C5 company in the last race at Southland.
Kennel news. Mo galloped yesterday but pulled up sore on a whip muscle. Hopefully nothing major but the problem is keeping the little bugger quiet even though she is injured!! Hopefully with ultra sound and rest she will back in action in a few weeks!

Kennel News.

The three pups Mo,Minnie and Sam had a trial around Addington on Monday. The experience will do them well and only Minnie got lost! At one stage I thought she was going to become a Trotter she went that wide on the bend. The experience will do them well. Will take them again in a couple of weeks just to get used to the wide open spaces!
The first of the litter to run will be 'Lots of Beersies' at Southland on Tuesday. Good luck to the Shake and Bake syndicate.
Charlie (Smash Rumour) finished 2nd in a good C5 at Addington shame he took a bump at the first bend because he ran a cracking race to get up to 2nd.
Saturday. Ben will go for a box trial at Carrs Road hopefully and then to Addintgon for the experience later.

A day in the sun

Mo and Sam playing around on the gallop.

Boxer having fun with the stuffed sock

Minnie doing the ice bucket challenge!

Sam and Mo on their second run.

Sam looking for the hare that has been running around the paddock teasing the dogs in the runs.
We took some of the pups for a run down the gallop. Ben went to Carr's Road and did okay again at the track. The old dogs had a walk around the paddock. We expected to see one of the three young hares that have made our paddock their playground, and have our arms ripped off, but we didn't. We watch them out the window playing and annoying the magpies. They are good to see. They drive the dogs nuts though once they see them. Keeps the hounds keen.

Weekend work outs!

Ben went off and had a slip from inside the starting boxes. He struggled and panicked at first even when I held him but second time in he calmed down and left the boxes well when the lure came past. He chased well and bit on at the end so progress is being made!
The others had a free gallop up and down the gallop just to give them a blow out. All of them worked well and enjoyed their freedom!
The four dogs have been named and the books arrived from the GRNZ with their cards. All have been the prefix Feral.
Keen on any of them please feel free to give me a ring to discuss things.
