Greyhound kennels established on the West Coast of NZ. The kennel name comes from the delightful description Helen Clark used when talking about West Coasters in 2000. The open spaces and the beaches were a top place to rear pups up until racing age. Now Based close to Oxford Canterbury on 4 hectares. We now breed and train as well as rear pups. Schooling put on hold.
Due to the recent wet weather Bruce postponed the breaking in of the pups for a couple of weeks. The dogs have now been moved in to the kennel block. Tom has a nasty gash on the top of his rear foot/toe which means he is confined to the kennel which for such an active pup is pretty hard on him!!!

News bits
Charlie(Smash Rumour) ran an awesome 2nd to Dixie Lee tonight going down by just 3.5L in a time of 17.14 the fastest of the night.
Ridgy one of our retirees had a back toe amputated on Monday and has come out of the operation well and bandages have been removed.
Boxer the recent arrival loves his free gallops in the big run and races Skippy one of the other retirees up and down the fence line. He is growing and filling out well.

Sam update.
Good news in that Sam has made a great recovery and is back to his best. He has put the weight back on and is much more lively. Plenty of road work on the way for the big boy!
