Greyhound kennels established on the West Coast of NZ. The kennel name comes from the delightful description Helen Clark used when talking about West Coasters in 2000. The open spaces and the beaches were a top place to rear pups up until racing age. Now Based close to Oxford Canterbury on 4 hectares. We now breed and train as well as rear pups. Kennel news
The pups are just coping with this weather, most seem to have cabin fever and when they do come out into the paddock they look at it in disgust. It is just a mud patch really now! was going to move them in to the bigger paddocks but will leave until next weekend now because of the wet and snow. Hopefully the cold weather expected will dry things out. They have plenty of fresh straw to bed down in so they all seem fine. They are eating heaps as you would expect pups to do and all seem to be growing well.
Came home the other day to find all 10 pups in with Mum,they has pushed the gate open to her run,was she was pleased to see me and she had more mud on her coat and head than she expected!! Poor Lizzie!
