Greyhound kennels established on the West Coast of NZ. The kennel name comes from the delightful description Helen Clark used when talking about West Coasters in 2000. The open spaces and the beaches were a top place to rear pups up until racing age. Now Based close to Oxford Canterbury on 4 hectares. We now breed and train as well as rear pups. Gutted as George fights (Marring)
STEWARDS REPORT
FERAL FOX was then observed by the Steward to turn its head outwards and make contact with GRANT A DOLLAR with an open mouth. FERAL FOX was charged under Rule 80.1.a with marring the running of another greyhound. Trainer MM Grant admitted the charge and the dog was suspended for 28 days and required to complete a Satisfactory Trial. Mr Grant advised that the dog would be retired from racing.
It was extremely disappointing to see George turn his head and Fight Grant a Dollar very aggressively when he was in the lead.Apologies to the connection of that dog. Sorry for Malcolm and Lisa who have put in heaps of effort in with the dog. George now will come home and find a seat on the settee If i let him!!!
