Greyhound kennels established on the West Coast of NZ. The kennel name comes from the delightful description Helen Clark used when talking about West Coasters in 2000. The open spaces and the beaches were a top place to rear pups up until racing age. Now Based close to Oxford Canterbury on 4 hectares. We now breed and train as well as rear pups. Latest update.
Both pups have been to Addington for a box trial and both chased with plenty of enthusiasm. No news about times etc but then thats not important at this stage in their education. Malcolm was pleased with the workout anyway!!
Two of the litter went around Manakau and will post news when recieved.
College Causeway wins the Irish Derby and what a run it was at Shelbourne Park in Dublin.....can be seen on youtube, well worth a look!

Latest update
Mixed news about the two Pups. Both have been to the break in Track at Chertsey and to Addington and chased strongly, the bad news is that Maggie seems to be on the slow side and is about nine lengths slower than Skippy and at the moment is doubtful whether she is going to make the grade as a race dog! Disappointing news but these things happen and who knows perhaps with a bit more time back on the coast she might strengthen up. Any way she will have a home here whatever.
Hopefully Skippy will continue to develop and apparently had no problems out of the traps.Time will tell.
Any donations towards the kennel bill will be gratefully recieved!LOL
