Greyhound kennels established on the West Coast of NZ. The kennel name comes from the delightful description Helen Clark used when talking about West Coasters in 2000. The open spaces and the beaches were a top place to rear pups up until racing age. Now Based close to Oxford Canterbury on 4 hectares. We now breed and train as well as rear pups. Update Sat 28th March.
The pups were again taken to the beach and both galloped along the shore line.Maggie came straight back but Skippy decided to investigate the local paddock, obviously getting a smell of the rabbits!!!! Maggie seems a little more immature in her attitude compared to Skippy but both are very keen on any movement. Both dogs came back to the kennel and ate up well.

Pups at 8 months
Both the bitches have been fed on Pedigree nuts and Fresh Meat and veggies and have a morning feed of Milk and Weet-bix. They have both been wormed on a 5 weekly basis. They have been lead trained at 8 months and have a keen interest in the local wildlife and house cats! They are left out in a run which is 45 x 20 and have an insulated shed 3 metres by 2 with a height of 2 metres for them to sleep in. Most of the time they choose the outside to sleep until the Famous West Coast rain appears!
Both have different charactors and builds, the brindle and white(Skippy)has a calm attitude but very keen, where as the black and white(Maggie)has a more boisterous and Yappy attitude. Both are mad keen on anything that moves!
